Terms of Service.

  1. Full payment is required on the day of arrival for a single journey. For return journeys, half payment is required on the day of arrival, with the remaining half due on the return journey. Summit Transfers only accepts Euros and currently does not accept credit or debit card payments.
  2. Summit Transfers will e-mail written confirmation of the details regarding the booking, showing pick up times, dates and prices. This confirmation e-mail should be presented to the driver for both the outward and return journeys.
  3. The e-mail confirmation sent by Summit Transfers will be the passenger’s ticket. The bearer of a ticket implicitly accepts these general conditions.
  4. The destination and pick up addresses on your confirmation are the addresses to which you will be delivered to and picked up from. Should you wish to change these or any other details this must be done in writing by e-mail directly to Summit Transfers 48 hours prior to the date of travel.
  5. The maximum wait time for your assigned driver is 1 hour and 45 minutes. If this period is exceeded, we will endeavour to supply you with an alternative.
  6. Summit Transfers takes no liability if incorrect travel details are given by the customer.
  7. Summit Transfers reserves the right to change pick up times in the resort. It will inform the customer by via text message or telephone call.
  8. In the case of bad weather conditions, Summit Transfers reserve the right to change the pick up or drop off location for Avoriaz clients to the Prodains telepherique.
  9. Each passenger is responsible for his or hers luggage. Summit Transfers will take no responsibility for lost, damaged or stolen luggage in the airport terminals.
  10. All luggage must be clearly labelled with the owners name and address.
  11. Customers are limited to two items of luggage including a ski and snowboard bag. In the event of a client having excess luggage Summit Transfers reserves the right to charge an excess baggage allowance or can refuse to transport the items.
  12. Only the Summit Transfers driver is authorised to load luggage into the vehicle. Summit Transfers cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to luggage or equipment during the transfer.
  13. Summit Transfers undertakes to load, store and return luggage in the condition in which it was received at the time of loading.
  14. The driver of any Summit Transfers vehicle has the right to refuse to carry any person who is thought to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and/or whose behaviour is considered to pose a threat to the driver, the vehicle or any other passenger.
  15. Seat belts must be worn by all Summit Transfers passengers in all vehicles which are equipped accordingly. Clients who chose not to wear their seat belts will not be covered by Summit Transfers insurance should the vehicle be involved in an accident.
  16. Summit Transfers declines all responsibility in the eventuality of missed flights or connections due to bad weather conditions, traffic congestion, road accidents, acts of terrorism and vandalism and any industrial action by third parties.
  17. Smoking is forbidden on any Summit Transfers vehicle.
  18. In case of accident, the company’s liability is limited to the conditions of its insurance contract.
  19. Customers are entitled to cancel their booking by e-mail. Cancellations must be made at least 21 days before the time of travel.
  20. Nothing can affect the consumers’ statutory rights.

The following Terms and Conditions of sale and operations in respect of transport services provided by Summit Transfers SAS apply to all quotations issued either online via our website (summittransfers.com), by telephone, or email. The acceptance of such a quote by a client or agents acting on behalf of the client explicitly implies the acceptance of and adherence to our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy by all parties, inclusive of those persons traveling with Summit Transfers, or a third party contracted to act on behalf of Summit Transfers SAS.

The term ‘Client’ refers to the named person making the reservation with Summit Transfers, inclusive of all persons within the traveling group. The client is the single point of contact for changes to the reservation(s), whether within the traveling group or as a third party acting on behalf of the traveling group.

Responsibility for reading our terms and conditions remains with the client and any third parties acting on behalf of the client and traveling group. Summit Transfers SAS advises all clients to read the Terms and Conditions before making a reservation.

Summit Transfers SAS reserves the right to outsource the reservation made by a client or third parties acting on behalf of the client to a carefully selected third-party licensed transport company. The Terms and Conditions of sale and operations in respect of those services are not affected.

Summit Transfers SAS reserves the right to impose a fuel surcharge subject to market fluctuations up to 14 days prior to the scheduled day of travel.

Summit Transfers SAS operates from the Swiss side of Geneva Airport (Terminal 1 and Terminal 2) but reserves the right when operational necessity dictates that passengers be collected from the French Sector, after which, the duration of the journey will be completed in France. (See ‘Service Failure; – Point 2’)

Complaints

All complaints must be made in writing to via email at info@summittransfers.co.uk. Complaints will only be acknowledged and processed if made within 14 days of the date of travel. Summit Transfers SAS will investigate and aim to provide a full response to any complaint within 28 days of receipt.

Reservations

Reservations with Summit Transfers can be made via our website, by email, or by telephone. A confirmation email will be issued once full payment or an agreed deposit has been received. This confirmation email acts as the official contract between Summit Transfers SAS and the client.

Clients are responsible for ensuring all travel details in the confirmation email are accurate. Summit Transfers SAS cannot be held liable for discrepancies not highlighted by the client.

Reservations are accepted up to 48 hours before the scheduled day of travel. Reservations requested less than 48 hours in advance may be accepted at Summit Transfers’ discretion and are subject to availability.

Payment Terms

All payments for services provided by Summit Transfers SAS must be made in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. Payments can be made via bank transfer or stripe money service.

Failure to make payment within the agreed timeframe may result in the cancellation of the reservation without notice.

Cancellations by the Client Any cancellation of services by the client must be made in writing and acknowledged by Summit Transfers SAS. The following charges apply:

  1. Cancellations made more than 30 days before the scheduled travel date: Full refund minus an administrative fee of €25.
  2. Cancellations made 15-30 days before the travel date: 50% refund of the total amount paid.
  3. Cancellations made less than 15 days before the travel date: No refund.
  4. Summit Transfers SAS reserves the right to apply discretion in exceptional circumstances.

Cancellations by Summit Transfers SAS

Summit Transfers SAS reserves the right to cancel reservations due to unforeseen circumstances such as adverse weather, road closures, or operational difficulties. In such cases, a full refund will be provided, but no further compensation will be offered.

Service Failures

Summit Transfers SAS strives to provide a reliable and punctual service. However, delays can occur due to factors outside our control (e.g., traffic, weather).

  1. Delays at Collection Points:
  2. Summit Transfers SAS will endeavor to notify clients of any delays.
  3. Alternate Collection Points:
  4. If operational requirements necessitate, Summit Transfers SAS may collect passengers from alternate locations (e.g., French Sector of Geneva Airport).
  5. Missed Flights/Connections:
  6. Summit Transfers SAS is not liable for missed flights, connections, or other travel disruptions caused by delays. Clients are advised to schedule ample time for travel.

Client Responsibilities

Clients must ensure:

  1. All passengers are ready for collection at the agreed time and location.
  2. Summit Transfers SAS is informed of any changes to travel plans immediately.
  3. All luggage complies with Summit Transfers’ size and weight restrictions.
  4. Failure to comply may result in additional charges or refusal of service.

Luggage Allowance

Each passenger is entitled to one piece of luggage and one hand baggage. Additional or oversized items (e.g., skis, snowboards) must be declared at the time of booking. Summit Transfers SAS reserves the right to refuse transport of undeclared items or charge additional fees.

Child Seats

Summit Transfers SAS provides child seats upon request at no additional charge. It is the client’s responsibility to request these at the time of booking and to ensure their proper use during travel.

Force Majeure

Summit Transfers SAS cannot be held liable for service interruptions due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or road closures.

Liability

Summit Transfers SAS’ liability for direct loss or damage resulting from negligence is limited to the cost of the reservation. Summit Transfers SAS is not liable for indirect losses, including missed flights or additional travel costs.
